Ricardo obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Information System from São Paulo State University (Brazil) and his Master’s degree in Computer Science on Tensor-based features for Optimum Path Forest (OPF) classifier. He also worked as a Software Analyst at Eldorado Research Institute in the Motorola Camera Team with applied machine learning solutions for image quality assessment and deployment of machine learning models. In 2017 he worked as the Machine Learning Engineering Course Manager at Udacity Brazil.
In 2018 he moved to the Netherlands to start his Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. Henk Marquering and Dr. Bas de Mol. His main research topic is machine learning applied to cardiovascular subjects, such as TAVI and Atrial Fibrillation.
